Hi, I'm Kristin. Like a lot of people, I got interested in buying a house in Italy during the Covid-19 pandemic. But instead of getting sucked into the €1 house hype, I discovered how many incredible, affordable, fully habitable homes there were on the regular open market and became somewhat obsessed (and still am!) 

After years of being somewhat frustrated by not having anyone to share them with (apart from my pretty disinterested friends and family) I decided to turn my passion into this project and offer a service of helping people find properties that they might otherwise overlook by just searching on their own or miss out on from not having enough time to scour all the listings. I also know from the experience of looking to purchase myself that it is very time consuming to weed through the not-so-great ones to get to the great ones!

So, since September 2024 I've been compiling weekly emails of unique, habitable homes in desirable locations which are for sale in Italy <€150k and <€60k for subscribing members on Patreon and Substack and sharing some on YouTube and Facebook just for fun. 

I only share habitable homes - not apartments or project/fixer uppers - simply because there are so many in this price range. I don't think anyone, even buying on a tight budget, should have to compromise and settle for a project property unless they truly want to.

I'm not a realtor and don't earn any commission or payments for the properties I feature. I just love finding and sharing them. I'm also not a property finder or relocation specialist. I only share homes from idealista.it because it's the easiest site to use and yes, people can find them on their own for free. I'm not sharing any secret or hidden properties - just ones that I like and that others might not come across in their personal searches. 

In June 2025 one of my best friends and I bought our dream home in a completely unexpected location - a small village in the mountainous Barbagia area of Sardinia. It was featured by Live Your Dream Italy in November 2024 and when they made a price reduction of €8,000 the following May, we were lucky enough to be able to buy it. So far one other member that I know of has bought their dream home in Le Marche from a home which they found through Live Your Dream Italy.
